
Skills Bootcamps provides flexible hands-on and bespoke training programmes of up to 16 weeks in duration, which are part of the government’s commitment for individuals to have access to Skills for Life. NGTC’s Skills Bootcamps aim to help participants in the Security and Events sector find jobs in a range across the regions in which we operate.
This training has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding to deliver skills Bootcamps, which form part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.
Skills Bootcamps are open for enrolment for your employees. When sponsoring your employees through a Skills Bootcamp, The programme is part-funded by the Department for Education and a small contribution of either 10% (for SME’s) or 30% (Large employers – Over 250 staff) will apply to the course fees. The booking process is simple and your staff will be given a dedicated course tutor to will support them through their bootcamp journey, feeding progress back to your nominated workplace mentors and key personnel.

As Skills Bootcamps are open to all candidates, NGTC will look to signpost our participants to live vacancies. As a partnering employer, you could look to offer a job interview to an individual who completes a Skills Bootcamp; visit our courses to speak with our candidates; advertise your jobs through the NextGen Jobs Board or recruit new talent into your organisation.
Due to the unique skill opportunities our Bootcamps provide and the comprehensive nature of our course content, graduates from NGTC’s skills bootcamps will be primed, qualified; highly-trained, screened and vetted to industry standards and ready to join your workforce immediately.

This Skills Bootcamp is aimed at individuals who are looking to become qualified to obtain a full Close Protection SIA licence and undertake Covert Surveillance and Close Protection roles. By undertaking this qualification, you will meet the requirements to be deployed within Close Protection roles undertaking activities under the terms of the Private Security Act (2001) and further expand your knowledge to work in Covert Surveillance. Candidates who obtain this qualification can also operate as Door Supervisors under the Private Security Act (2001).

The Security Future Trainers Programme is a Skills Bootcamp programme for individuals with a passion for shaping the future of security training. This programme is tailored to equip participants with the skills, expertise, and certifications needed to excel as proficient security trainers to deliver the SIA licensed-linked qualifications. With a focus on training methodologies and emerging trends, participants will gain invaluable insights into effective instructional techniques and the latest security protocols. The Event Safety Future Leaders Skills Bootcamp is tailored for those aiming to secure supervisory or managerial roles in event safety. Upon successful completion, you’ll possess the qualifications to excel in event safety management, ensuring the well-being of attendees and staff.
