Who is this qualification for?
This Skills Bootcamp is aimed at individuals who are looking to become qualified to obtain a full Close Protection SIA licence and undertake Covert Surveillance and Close Protection roles. By undertaking this qualification, you will meet the requirements to be deployed within Close Protection roles undertaking activities under the terms of the Private Security Act (2001) and further expand your knowledge to work in Covert Surveillance. Candidates who obtain this qualification can also operate as Door Supervisors under the Private Security Act (2001).
• Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
• Level 2 Award in Working as a CCTV Operator
• Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Officers

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
Course Day One – Emergency First Aid at Work – Classroom – Full Day
Course Day Two – Recognition and Management of Illnesses and Injury – Classroom – Full Day
Course Day Three – Recognition and Management of Illnesses and Injury – Classroom – Full Day
Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators
Course Day One – Theory – Classroom or Online – Full Day
Course Day Two – Theory – Classroom or Online – Full Day
Course Day Three – Theory – Practical CCTV Assessments & Exams – Full Day
Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Officers
Day 1 – 6 – Classroom – Working as a Close Protection Officer (0900 – 1800)
Day 7 – Classroom – Conflict Management (0900 – 1800)
Day 8 & 9 – Classroom – Physical Intervention Training for Close Protection (0900 – 1800)
Day 10 – 15 – Classroom – Working as a Close Protection Officer (0900 – 1800)
Day 16 – Classroom – Door Supervision for Close Protection Officers (0900 – 1800)
Day 17 & 18 – Classroom & Practical – Physical Intervention Training for Door Supervisors (0900 – 1800)
Skills Bootcamps are free flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for people looking for a new role or job opportunity.
Once you complete the course, you’ll be guaranteed a job interview with one of our partnering employers.
If you’re self-employed, you’ll be able to use the training to seek new opportunities for your business.
If you’re being supported by your current employer to complete the Skills Bootcamp then you’ll need to demonstrate the opportunity for a new role or new responsibilities.

If you are currently working within the Security sector and are being sponsored by your employer to undertake this training, fees may apply:

10% Contribution to Overall Cost
Large Employers (Over 250 Staff)
30% Contribution to Overall Cost
Candidates must be 19+ years old at point of enrollment
Candidates must undertake our online initial assessments achieving appropriate results
