Our Board of Governors, composed of esteemed professionals, plays a crucial role in providing unbiased scrutiny and strategic direction across all facets of our operations.

Through NGTC Matters, we offer transparent insights into our business performance, highlighting our efforts in overcoming workforce barriers, supporting new recruits, and upskilling existing staff.

The board meet with the operational team at NGTC frequently to provide strategic steer and offer opinion on past, current and upcoming business activity.

With the help of government funding and our industry expertise, we remain committed to building a skilled and resilient workforce for the future.


Anthony Mills – Quality of Education Governor

Anthony Mills is an education and quality assurance specialist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He has held senior and strategic roles across various educational institutions, including serving as a Curriculum Director at a large Further Education college and a vocational training provider. Anthony has taught Engineering and Mathematics and has contributed to the development of numerous qualifications in the UK and internationally.

As an experienced education inspector, he has worked with OFSTED in the UK and inspected schools and colleges in the Middle East. His expertise spans Leadership and Management, Student Wellbeing, Engineering, and Mathematics. Currently, he is an end point assessor for apprenticeships in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Anthony holds a First Class Honours Degree in Education and is pursuing a Masters Degree.

Angie Wagstaff – Security & Events Sector Governor

Angie Wagstaff, National Training Manager for Events at G4S, has 22 years of experience in the security industry, focusing on events. She excels in managing and implementing vocational training and has collaborated with customers and employees from entry-level to senior management. Angie has developed a national L&D strategy, secured government funding for over 3000 employees, and created flexible e-learning solutions.

She was recognised as Runner Up for “Best use of e-learning to ensure compliance with external regulations or internal policies” at the 2015 Learning Technologies e-learning awards. Angie designed and delivered a training programme for the FIFA Club World Cup 2010 in Abu Dhabi, upskilling 1500+ G4S Events employees. She is also a member of the Trailblazer group that developed the Level 2 Professional Security Operative Apprenticeship. Angie holds an Academic Excellence Award from Sheffield Hallam University and a Distinction from New Bucks University for her work in vocational education.
