World Mental Health Day Matters for the Security and Events Sector

World Mental Health Day, held annually on 10th October, is a time to raise awareness of mental health issues globally. In high-stress sectors like security and events, where professionals regularly face demanding environments, addressing mental health is crucial. Recognising the challenges, NGTC offers a free CPD-certified Suicide Prevention Awareness course to equip staff with life-saving skills.

Mental health awareness in security roles is vital. Personnel often encounter individuals who are vulnerable or distressed, and having the knowledge to support them effectively is essential for creating safer environments. Training enhances empathy, improves teamwork, and fosters a supportive workplace, which benefits both staff and event attendees.

At NGTC, we’re committed to promoting mental well-being. Our Information, Advice, and Guidance Portal provides practical resources, helping professionals cope with mental health challenges. Together, we can cultivate safer, more supportive spaces for everyone.
