The Growing Private Security Industry Is Continuing To Tackle Unemployment, Particularly Among Young People Seeking Work.
Among those heavily involved is training company NGTC, which has been running a series of courses in Northern England to help people land jobs in the industry.
Among the courses have been the three-week SIA Level 2 Award in Door Supervision course, which has a good track record of helping people to secure interviews and job offers. Seventy per cent of those taking part go on to work in the industry, well above the national average.
Candidates must be aged 18 and above to enrol and the courses are fully funded for unemployed people who are receiving benefits or who are considered inactive.
The qualification is not just useful for people wanting to work on the door at venues but also those seeking to pursue a career in areas such as security patrolling and the skills learned are useful for event stewards and hospitality establishments where a license is required.
Based in Greater Manchester, NGTC has a strong client base of well-known sporting organisations and colleges and delivers everything from pre-employment courses and apprenticeships, to specialist courses, such as Spectator Safety. You can find out more at http://www.ngtc.co.uk/
