SES Group Event Steward

We have an exciting opportunity for Event Stewards to join our Manchester region. We are developing our backstage team and looking for customer service oriented professionals to support our operations at this prestigious venue. Whether you are looking for regular work or looking to pick up occasional shifts, our casual workers contract allows you the flexibility to choose when you are available. The role is primarily evening/weekend based with regular events and work available. In addition to your base pay rate, you will accrue annual leave for every hour worked, be enrolled onto the SES pension scheme (optional) and have access to our bespoke LMS system to support your professional development.

Summary

The primary responsibility is to provide a professional, proactive, and courteous service for attendees at events, venues, and designated locations. This involves maintaining a safe environment, responding efficiently to emergencies, and supporting emergency services when necessary. The role also requires strict adherence to Health & Safety standards, following site briefings and guidelines, ensuring that both public and client needs are met.

The role requires strict adherence to SES Group and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines, emphasizing awareness of the organization’s mission, vision,
and values. Maintaining complete confidentiality is essential.
Providing excellent customer service involves acting professionally and courteously, serving as a point of contact and information centre for the public.
The responsibilities include responding to various incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and more, while keeping detailed incident logs as required
by the client.
The role extends to assisting and escorting visitors, submitting reports on health and safety and crime issues, and ensuring the maintenance of uniform and personal
equipment.
Attending site briefings, following assignment instructions, conducting safety checks, and complying with location safety regulations

Requirements

• Customer Service (not required but preferred)
• Action Counter Terrorism (training provided)
• NVQ2 in Spectator Safety or Understanding Spectator Safety at Events (training provided)
