The objectives of these qualifications are to help learners to raise their awareness of the issues surrounding equality and diversity and to apply this awareness through their actions in society, community and the workplace.

This qualification is suitable for those responsible for candidates who come into contact with customers or colleagues and wish to deliver excellent customer service whilst protecting and respecting others.

What are the entry requirements?

Learners should be at least 18 years old

How is this qualification structured?

This qualification contains 3 mandatory units:

  • Unit 01 Equality & Diversity in Society
  • Unit 02 Equality & Diversity in the Workplace
  • Unit 03 Equality & Diversity in the Community

How is it assessed?

All units are internally assessed using a portfolio of evidence.

What related qualifications can you progress to?

  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding & PREVENT
  • Level 3 Qualifications in Equality & Diversity
  • Level 3 Certificate in Working with Vulnerable Young People

Career opportunities

This qualification is applicable to all forms of customer facing work roles including Youth Workers, Health & Social Care, Customer Service & Sales functions.

Learners should be at least 18 years old with a clear DBS certificate.
