NGTC Team

 

Michael Needham (Managing Director/Head of Centre)– An entrepreneurial and dynamic, independent visionary leader of people. Tenacious, focused and determined to succeed through operational excellence and a quality results orientated mentality. Michael is also very well respected within the industry, he has worked as a security consultant for many large organisations nationwide, including the Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean and other entertainment venues across the UK.

An expert in applying and complying with Health & Safety legislation he is often called to help plan and prepare for events and operations, planning and running the operation when they happen. Alongside the vocational expertise, Mike is a qualified teacher in the further & higher education sector. 


Wendy Needham (Human Resources Manager/Company Director) - Wendy as Michael's wife has supported him in the industry for many years prior to the launch of NGTC. Wendy has kept her knowledge up to date by completing courses such as Training and Presenting, Delivery of Conflict Management, A1 assessors course and many more.

Her knowledge and qualifications support the staff as a point of reference, and through Wendy's qualifications enables her to perform the roll of HR, which provides NGTC with structure, regulations and supports staff development


Damian Hall (New Business Development Manager) – From leaving the Police force, Damian was recruited to run the security operations at Manchester International Airport. He is qualified and has experience in the security industry from being a qualified SIA instructor, who can also deliver aviation security. This experience and his reputation has led him to work as a close protection officer to many ‘A’ list celebrities and Premier League footballers.

He was also for a number of years involved in the managing the security operations with Manchester United, involved in the recruitment, planning and the delivery of the match day operation.


Karen Green (Office Manager/PA to the MD)- Karen has been Michael's PA for over five years. Karen has completed a number of courses ensuring she completely understands the format of the sector she works in and can provide support to clients, students and tutors, starting from Door Supervision, A1 assessors, Close Protection, FPOS, Delivery of Conflict Management, and Training and Presenting.

Karen also oversees the administration department for NGTC, which includes day to day running of the office, examination procedures, finance department and supporting the Managing Director and NGTC clients.


Bill McCormick (Business Consultant/Trainer) - Bill joined NGTC from a large Further and Higher Education College, where he was involved in employer engagement, securing funding, curriculum development it’s planning, it’s delivery and management as well as developing new areas of learning and training.

He has for a number of years been involved with Everton FC in its match day operations, as well as training and qualifying their staff. He is qualified NVQ Level 7 in Management as well as been vocationally qualified in the Security/Stewarding sectors, well respected by the awarding bodies.


Mark Green (Quality/Client Co-Ordinator) – Mark focuses on the quality systems and the customer care parts of the business. He worked for over 10 years in the business 2 business sector, contact centre and retail sectors where he specialised in the business coaching, customer care and customer focus.

At NGTC he is responsible for majority of the marketing, recruitment, new business and overall quality for the business, Mark is also a qualified A1 assessor for the business.


Paula Howell (Trainer) - Paula joined NGTC after working in the security industry for nine years and pub management for seven years. Her responsibilities include: Recruitment, Door Supervisors training and delivering training to all the stewards to NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 In Spectator Safety Standard at several major sporting venues including Manchester United, QPR, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Coventry and many more through our direct contacts with CES.

 

Katie Porter (Administrator) - Katie works within the administration department and has seven years experience in this field. Her role involves liaising with the Awarding Body, Edexcel and the implementing of paperwork. Katie is an experienced point of contact at our office, dealing with any queries, problems or enquiries. Katie also holds a wide range of qualifications in this sector from Door Supervision, National Certificate for licensees, Close Protection, to Training and Presenting and the Delivery of Conflict Management.

 

Neil Waithman (Head of Finance) – Neil joined NGTC as the Head of Finance after several years personal service to the Managing Directors. Neil undertakes the general financial duties of the company such as credit control, invoice distribution and business guidance, but also ensures a professional service, supporting our clients and giving them individual attention to their requirements and systems.
